Before You Begin

If you wish to travel to Canada temporarily, you may need a TRV (Temporary Resident Visa), if you are not a citizen from a “visa exempt” country. The Canadian visit visa allows you to stay in Canada for up to 6 months for tourism and to visit friends and family.

Prohibited Activities

You are not allowed to seek employment on a visit visa.

Documents Checklist

Valid passport, for the duration of your stay in Canada
Financial documents, showing proof of funds such as a bank statement (last 4 months)
Temporary Resident Visa Application, application form for a visit visa
Family Information Form
Purpose of Visit, brief description of your travel plans and planned activities in Canada
2 Photos, Taken in the last 6 months (Passport Size)
Letter of invitation, if invited by someone in Canada
